Aruba authorities implemented a format that Venezuelan passengers who are going to the island must fill out. In the document the visitor has to commit his trip is done for different purposes to request political refuge.
Although the measure can be considered a right of refugees violation , the truth is that no one in that country can say that he is persecuted politically if he is not requested before the authorities and be on an arrest warrant on him.
The Aruba Airline document states: “In full exercise of my rights, powers and free from coercion or constraint. I hereby voluntarily declare that: the reason for my trip, and if any, of my representatives, to the island of Aruba, with Aruba Airlines, is solely and exclusively tourist, business or transit; therefore, I undertake to fully comply with the scheduled flight itinerary for my trip, ”.
