The Mossos d’Esquadra and the Civil Guard have dismantled an international criminal organization for human trafficking, which was dedicated to recruiting people in Africa to move them to Europe in exchange for money to work in precarious employment. Agents have detained 12 people, who have entered prison, and international arrests have been made: three in Portugal, two in Germany and one arrest in the Netherlands. Registrations were also made in homes and premises of various Spanish towns such as Burgos, Lleida and Barcelona.
The head of the organization, a Central African with a history of irregular immigration, boasted of 25 years in the business.
