Police have released video footage of the chase between seven white and one black officers, and black ski mask-clad suspect Jayland Walker, who was shot 60 times in the clash that ended his life on June 27.
Cops claim Walker opened fire first citing a traffic cam clip appearing to show the 25-year-old shoot from his car, a pistol later found in his car and casings matching the firearm found nearby. They also attempted to use a taser before the deadly pursuit.
After the footage was released there were protests outside the city justice center despite all officers being placed on paid admin leave and state AG Dave Yost promising a “complete, fair and expert investigation”.
What exactly are cops allowed to do nowadays?
