
Two soldiers seriously wounded and one more dead was the result of a new attack, this time in Arauca. The events occurred in the area known as Mate Cacao in the village of Las Guardias, jurisdiction of the municipality of Fortul, in Arauca.
It can be established that at the time of the attack the uniformed officers carried out a tactical movement from the Army command post in Tame and headed towards the military canton of the Mechanized Group No. 18, General Gabriel Revéis Pizarro in Saravena.
The victims of this unfortunate event were identified as Carlos Gustavo Zúñiga Lázaro and Brayan Smith Marzal Obispo, who were taken to a medical center, where they received medical care, and professional soldier Edilson Roncancio Carillo, who unfortunately lost his life.
Until now, the material authors of this terrorist act are not known, but it was known that Front 10 of the FARC-EP and the Omaira Montoya Commission of the National Liberation Army (ELN) are present in the area.
It is worth remembering that during this event a policeman was killed and another wounded in Chocó. Hours later, another uniformed officer assigned to the traffic department was the victim of a terrorist attack, but managed to be transferred to a health center. So far his health status is unknown.
