A landmine killed a Russian commander and wounding three others.
On the route of a Russian military convoy 15 km from the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor (in the area of the At-Time oil field), an improvised explosive device went off, as a result of the explosion, three servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces were injured, one of them died.
The deceased officer, senior military adviser, will be posthumously nominated for a state decoration.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the name of the deceased. It turned out to be the deputy commander of the 36th combined arms army of the Russian Armed Forces (according to information as of September 2019), Major General Vyacheslav Gladkikh (pictured) RIP.
The incident also killed a local militia commander and five of its members.
