The mission is to arrest the gang members who are hiding in Soyapango so that they face justice.
The fifth phase of the Territorial Control Plan was announced by Bukele on November 23. At that time, he said that the technique used in Comasagua to surround gang members who had murdered a person who lived in the sector had been successful, so they would replicate it throughout the national territory.
Bukele said that in phase five they will surround large cities and with the help of technology the gang members and those who collaborate by providing them with weapons, food and chips will be extracted, he stated.
