The morning December 06th, in the third district of Mazar-Sharif in the province of Balkh, an IED was detonated aimed at a bus. According to available information, the vehicles were employees of the state oil company, who work in the port of Hairatan. As a result of the explosion, according to the Afghanistan security, 7 people were killed, 6 more were injured, local sources report more casualties.
Earlier, a railway route from China to Afghanistan was established through Hairatan, so IS fighters, who already threatened China’s economic interests in Afghanistan, could be behind the attack.
