The Bolivarian National Armed Forces seize 3.4 tons of drugs in the state of Falcón
The national anti-drug superintendent (Sunad), M/G Richard López Vargas reported Thursday that officials from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) arrested a person with 3,468 kilos of marijuana and cocaine in Falcón state.
“The FANB, together with citizen security organizations and the National Anti-Drug Superintendency (Sunad), managed to arrest a subject with 5,670 packages of marijuana and cocaine (3,468 kilos) inside a boat on the shores of the beach in the Puerto Escondido sector. », wrote López Vargas on his Twitter account.
He highlighted that in the last week the authorities have seized five tons of drugs in the states of Nueva Esparta, La Guaira and Falcón, all located in front of the Caribbean Sea, “product of the police investigation matrix in the country.
Similarly, López Vargas pointed out that so far this year 46,958 kilos of drugs have been seized, in 7,412 procedures, with 9,242 detainees.
At the beginning of December, López Vargas indicated that the states that occupy the first places in terms of drug crimes are Zulia, Falcón, Bolívar and Táchira.
