From Tuesday to Wednesday night, unidentified gunmen attacked the base of the Ivory Coast 2nd Battalion in the village of Gondotr, north of Abajan, in the east of the country.
As a result, three of the attackers died and another was apparently taken prisoner. The army suffered no casualties, except for two wounded. The authorities have also denied any involvement in the terror attack, although they have recently expressed concern about the growing influence of jihadists in West Africa.
In fact, this is the first attack on the army in this country.
